If you are feeling ill please contact your GP. If you’re ill when your doctor’s surgery is closed and you feel it can’t wait until it re-opens, call NHS 24 on 08454 24 24 24. Calls to NHS 24 should cost no more than the price of a local telephone call from a BT landline. Calls from mobiles and other networks may vary.
If you think that the situation is life threatening and that you need an emergency ambulance you should call 999.
If you would like to know more about health conditions, treatments and NHS services you can call the NHS inform helpline on 0800 22 44 88 (open 8am – 10pm seven days a week). This service is for general health advice only – if you're feeling ill, please contact your GP.
If you are feeling down or depressed we would like to recommend our Breathing Space service. Breathing Space is a free and confidential phoneline and website for anyone experiencing low mood, depression or anxiety.
The Breathing Space phoneline is open 24 hours at weekends (6pm Friday - 6am Monday) and from 6pm to 2am on weekdays (Monday – Thursday) and can be reached on 0800 83 85 87.
