Lower Body
The ‘Lower Body’ section of the ‘Musculoskeletal Zone’ contains useful advice and information to assist people with muscle and joint problems, and prevent them taking over aspects of their work and day to day lives.
It contains information about hip problems, thigh problems, knee problems, calf problems, ankle problems and foot problems.
It includes advice on whether you should be resting or moving after an injury, how soon you can take part in sports activities, if your injury can result in problems anywhere else in your body and whether or not you need to consult your doctor.
You will also find some useful facts and figures about your injury.
In addition, the ‘Lower Body’ section links out to a range of informative ‘Health A-Z’ articles on NHS inform, as well as videos on various exercises which will really show you how to get moving.
Most lower body injuries will settle in around six weeks, but you can help yourself towards a faster recovery by following our advice.
