Thigh problems

A woman holding her thighThigh problems are normally the result of an injury such as overstretching or twisting during activities such as sports, or a fall, or from a direct blow to the thigh.

Pain on the outside of your thigh may also come on for no apparent reason. The muscles around your thigh are very strong and injuries to them settle within six weeks.

Facts and figures

  • The hamstrings muscles are at the back of your thigh.
  • The quadriceps muscles are at the front of your thigh.
